Why BPC-157 draws so many weak listings
BPC-157 is one of the most searched research peptides, which means it is also one of the most resold. A high-search-volume compound attracts sellers who never handled an analytical instrument: private-label storefronts sourcing from the same unnamed contract packager, drop-shippers relisting a manufacturer's own generic datasheet, and "blend" pages that fold BPC-157 into a mixture without testing it on its own. None of that is visible from a product photo or a price.
The genre of "best supplier" lists makes it worse. A company publishes a ranking, appears near the top of it, and fills the rest with commission partners or with names that never responded to outreach. Where a third party publishes the list, the ordering usually tracks who pays most per referred order. The fix is not a better ranking — it is criteria that cannot be gamed, because a supplier either passes them or does not, and you can check which without their help.
What the checks below separate is a supplier that had BPC-157 analyzed by lot from a reseller forwarding finished vials with paperwork inherited from upstream. Nothing is inherently wrong with reselling. The question is only whether anyone tested the specific batch you are buying, and whether you can see the record.
Six criteria, applied to a BPC-157 listing
Is the report matched to the lot, or a generic BPC-157 datasheet?
A certificate of analysis describes one sample, from one lot, on one date. It is not a general BPC-157 specification.
That distinction is the whole criterion. A generic report states what BPC-157 is supposed to be — often the exact PDF a contract manufacturer hands every reseller of its stock — and a lot-matched report states what a laboratory measured in a specific batch, named in a way you can check against the label when the vial arrives.
- How to check it
- Open the BPC-157 listing and find its report. Look for a lot identifier printed on the document, and look for the same identifier on the listing, so you know which batch is currently being sold. On arrival, compare it with the lot printed on the vial label.
- What failing looks like
- No lot identifier anywhere on the document; a document headed "BPC-157 typical values" or "product specification"; a lot number on the label that appears nowhere in the report you were shown.
One document per BPC-157 batch, or the same PDF across strengths?
A batch record covers one batch. The same document attached to a 5mg listing, a 10mg listing, and a "BPC-157 + TB-500" blend is a catalogue sheet wearing a lab coat.
This is the criterion that most often exposes a reseller of this specific compound, because BPC-157 is sold across several strengths and blends by the same storefronts. Reuse means either the batch in front of you was never separately analyzed, or its analysis is not the document being shown.
- How to check it
- Open the report for every BPC-157 strength or blend a supplier sells, side by side. Compare certificate numbers, analysis dates, and — if chromatograms are published — the traces themselves.
- What failing looks like
- The same PDF linked from the 5mg and 10mg listings; a "BPC-157" report attached to a multi-peptide blend page with no BPC-157-specific line item; identical certificate numbers or test dates across different strengths.
Is the issuing laboratory named, and independently contactable?
The reported percentage is not what makes a BPC-157 document trustworthy. The ability to confirm the document with its issuer is.
A report can be copied, edited, or presented for a lot it never described. What resists all three is a certificate number held on record by a named laboratory that will confirm what the number refers to. If no laboratory is named, the document rests entirely on the seller's word — the situation it was supposed to fix.
- How to check it
- Find the certificate number on the document, then find a verification route belonging to the laboratory rather than to the supplier. Compare four fields against the PDF you hold — sample identity, labeled strength, lot identifier, analysis date.
- What failing looks like
- No laboratory named; verification available only by emailing the supplier; the certificate number not found at all; the number found but the identity, strength, lot, or date differs from the PDF.
Was the report published before the batch went on sale, or after someone asked?
The order of operations is the signal. A record published before a BPC-157 batch is offered is a control step. A document produced after someone complains is a response.
A report you have to request is also a report whose absence you cannot detect while you are still deciding whether to buy.
- How to check it
- Check whether the BPC-157 report is readable before checkout, without an account or a support ticket. Then compare the analysis date on the report against the period the batch has been listed.
- What failing looks like
- "COA available on request" next to the BPC-157 listing; documentation behind an email capture; a test date that postdates the listing by months.
Do older BPC-157 lot reports stay public, or quietly disappear?
A library that only ever shows the current BPC-157 batch cannot be audited, and an archive is the one thing on this list that is expensive to fake.
BPC-157 batches restock often, given how fast the compound sells. If the record disappears at the same moment a lot sells out, anyone still holding a vial from that batch loses the ability to check what it was tested against.
- How to check it
- Look for a BPC-157 report covering a lot no longer being sold. Note a certificate number and its URL today, then open it again after the next restock.
- What failing looks like
- Report pages that return errors after a restock; a library whose contents exactly mirror current inventory; the old lot's document overwritten in place rather than kept alongside the new one.
Are the method, the date, and the CAS number all stated?
Identity and purity are different questions for BPC-157, and a number with no method attached is not a result.
Chromatographic purity (HPLC) describes how much of what was measured is a single component. Identity — whether that component is BPC-157, CAS 137525-51-0, rather than a related fragment or a degradation product — is normally confirmed separately by mass spectrometry. A high purity figure establishes no attribute that was not tested, and "99%+ BPC-157" as a listing headline with no method, no units, and no analysis date is a marketing claim borrowing the appearance of a measurement.
- How to check it
- On the report, find the named method and the analysis date before you look at the number. Confirm the CAS number stated matches BPC-157's, 137525-51-0, and that identity was tested separately from purity.
- What failing looks like
- No CAS number anywhere on the listing; "99%+ purity" as a listing claim rather than a dated, measured value; a single purity figure presented as if it also settled identity.

What this checklist cannot tell you
A page that claimed these six checks settled everything would be failing its own standard.
- A report describes a sample, not a shipment. The laboratory analyzed what it received from that lot, not the specific vial that reaches you — which is why matching the lot on the label is a step you still perform yourself.
- Documentation says nothing about fulfilment. How an order is packed, how quickly it moves, and whether support answers in plain language are things you learn by placing one order, not by reading a PDF.
- A percentage does not extend past what was tested. A result establishes what its method measured on its date. Anything the report does not list, it does not establish.
- Passing every check is not a guarantee. It means a supplier's claims are structured so they could be caught being wrong. That is a much lower bar than being right, and it is still the highest bar most BPC-157 listings clear.
Running the checklist on this site

- Verification does not run through us. The entry links to the original PDF and, separately, to the issuing laboratory's own verification page for that certificate number.
- Reports go up before the batch is offered, not on request afterwards — the practice is described at batch documentation.
- Past reports stay in the library rather than being replaced or removed on restock.
- BPC-157 is sold on its own listing, at the BPC-157 product page, not folded into an untested blend.
