Looking for a Science.bio alternative?

Science.bio closed in January 2026. If you relied on it, you now have to judge a new supplier from its website. Here are the seven checks we would run on any supplier, and how we answer each one.

What changed

Science.bio was a long-running U.S. supplier of research compounds. It announced its closure on January 27, 2026, and its own website now shows only a closure notice.

If you ordered from it, you are now choosing a new supplier, often one you have never bought from. The checks below take a few minutes each. None of them need a lab background, and all of them can be done before you pay.

Arctic Lab Supply is not affiliated with Science.bio, is not its successor, and is not endorsed by it. We are an independent supplier in Anchorage, Alaska.

What to check in any supplier

Run these on any supplier you are considering, including us. Each one has a clear pass and a clear fail, and none depends on taking the seller's word.

CHECK 01

A report for the exact lot you will receive

A certificate of analysis describes one sample from one production lot. A generic sheet that never changes between orders tells you nothing about what ships.

What failing looks like
One PDF reused across products or strengths, or a report with no lot number on it.
CHECK 02

The lot number on the report matches the vial label

The lot number is the only thing that ties a report to the vial in your hands. Find it on the report before you order. Find it again on the label when the parcel arrives.

What failing looks like
No lot number on the label, or a number that appears on no published report.
CHECK 03

The report is published before the lot is sold

A report posted before a batch goes on sale is a record. A report produced after a customer asks is a response. You should be able to read it before checkout, without an account or an email request.

What failing looks like
"Available on request," or sent only after you have paid.
CHECK 04

You can see who ran the analysis, and when

An independent report names the laboratory, carries a certificate number you can look up with that laboratory, states the method next to the result, and shows the test date.

What failing looks like
No laboratory named, no date, or a bare percentage with no method beside it.
CHECK 05

A stated shipping origin, and tracking

You should know where your parcel ships from, and you should get a tracking number when the label is created, not when you ask for one.

What failing looks like
No stated origin, and tracking only on request.
CHECK 06

A named company you can reach

A legal company name you can look up, a support email that gets answered, and published return terms. If you cannot tell who you are buying from, you cannot hold anyone to anything.

What failing looks like
A contact form and nothing else.
CHECK 07

Plain research-use-only terms

A research supplier sells for laboratory use and says so plainly, on every page and at checkout. Health claims or use instructions are a legal and quality warning.

What failing looks like
Claims about what a product does, or advice on how to use it.

Common questions

Is there a new Science.bio website?

Science.bio announced its closure on January 27, 2026, and its website now shows a closure notice. Some sites now use a similar name. A similar name tells you nothing about who runs a site, so check any of them the same way: a named business with an address and a way to reach a person, and a published third-party report whose lot number matches the label on what you receive. Arctic Lab Supply is not affiliated with Science.bio.

Is Arctic Lab Supply affiliated with Science.bio?

No. Arctic Lab Supply LLC is an independent company in Anchorage, Alaska. We have no connection to Science.bio and are not its successor.

Where do Arctic Lab Supply orders ship from?

Anchorage, Alaska, by USPS with tracking on every parcel. Orders paid by 6 PM ET, 7 days a week, ship the next business day, or we refund your shipping. U.S. orders of $99 or more ship free. We also ship to most other countries; not to Australia, New Zealand, countries or regions under U.S. sanctions, or countries where USPS has paused mail.

Can I see the lab report before I order?

Yes, where one is published. Each product page states whether a lot-matched third-party report is currently published. Every published report is in the report library with its lot number, test date, certificate number and a link to the laboratory's own verification page. No account is needed.

Is there a first-order discount?

Yes. FIRST25 takes 25% off a first order and is applied automatically when you shop from our start page. It is for first orders only, one per customer, and cannot be combined with other codes.
