How this list is kept
- Sourced or not listed. A supplier appears here only when a public source reports a permanent closure, and every row links that source.
- Dates as reported. Where a source gives an exact date, so do we. Where it gives only a month or a range, we give the month or the range.
- No reasons. We do not record, repeat or guess at why any supplier closed.
- Offline is not closed. A website that is simply unreachable, with no published closure, is not listed.
- Corrections. If a row is wrong, email support@arcticlabsupply.com with a source and we will review it.
How to check a closure report yourself
Closure news travels fast in forums and group chats, and not all of it is right. Before you treat a supplier as closed, look for three things.
- The supplier's own notice. A closure is clearest when the supplier says so itself, on its website or in an email to customers. Third-party write-ups, including the ones linked above, point back to that notice.
- A date. A notice usually says when orders stopped or will stop. A report with no date is harder to rely on.
- Closed, not just down. A website that fails to load for a day may be having technical trouble. That is why unreachable sites without a published closure are not on this list.
One more thing worth knowing: switching guides, this one included, are usually written by suppliers who would like your next order. Judge any of them, ours too, by whether its claims can be checked.
If your supplier just closed
Most people who search for a closed supplier's name are checking whether it is still open. If it is on this list, three practical steps help before you choose a new one.
- Keep your records. Save order confirmations and any lab reports you received, with their lot numbers. They show what documentation you are used to getting, and give you something to compare a new supplier against.
- Send order questions to the closed supplier. Only the supplier that took an order can answer questions about it. Other suppliers, including us, have no access to its records.
- Judge the next supplier on what you can check. Claims on a homepage are easy to write. The four checks below rely on documents and details you can confirm for yourself.
What to check in a new supplier
These take a few minutes each, need no lab background, and can all be done before you pay. Run them on every supplier you are considering, including us.
- Lot-matched third-party reportsA certificate of analysis describes one sample from one production lot. Look for a report that names the lot, and expect the lot on your vial label to match it. One report reused across products or strengths is a warning sign.
- A lab verification linkThe report should name the laboratory that ran it and carry a certificate number or link you can look up on that laboratory's own website, so the result does not depend on the seller's word.
- A stated shipping originYou should know where your parcel ships from before you order, and a tracking number should reach you when the label is created.
- A support contact that answersA registered company name, a support email with stated hours, and published return terms. A contact form and nothing else is not enough.
